i was messing with the radio trying to get the right code in, and it didnt work, and after one of the tries, the ABS light and the ASC light came on (the key was in the ignition turned to the battery position)
about an hour later i tried to start the car, and all i hear is a click, the lights come on, the engine does nothing
please tell me this is a security feature, and not a problem with the fuel pump or with one of my friends being an idiot and messing up the clutch in some way!
need response, fast! please

i got all freaked out with mine when was messing with my stereo right before i was supposed to drive it 2k miles up to school the next day. when i turned it to the aux position the radio and all electronics still worked, but when i tried to start it it just made clicking noises and the check engine light and stuff came on, but then i just hooked up my moms car to it and it started right up, hopefully that is the same case with yours

ive only been driving for a year, if you have to jumpstart your battery (cuz im an idiot who likes power seats) that doesnt necessarily mean the battery needs to be replaced does it?

No. Not at all. You'll be just fine. However, the more that you have to jump start, the weaker the battery is getting. If you have to replace it sometime, get a Die Hard. Those things are demons and I have never had to replace one of those.
hey, my car is doing the same thing. I just hear a click but all the lights come on and radio too. Does still mean I need a new battery? This has happen to me twice. THe first time I fiddled around the the fuel pump area and the car started after that. THe second time this happened i turned the key all the way and kept it there for 4 seconds then the car started. Now my car just wont start at all. What do you think could be wrong?
