Trouble with locks and windows '94 318iS

Hey how's it goin, I have a 1994 318iS with about 145,000 miles. Recently I have been having trouble with the windows air locking (automatically closing less than an inch after closing the door). This in turn results in the doors not being able to lock properly. Has anyone ever had this problem or know what exactly is going on? Thanks

In a coupe/conv., assuming the window is up, the windows should lower about a half inch when the door is opened, and then return to their full up position after closing the door. This makes a better seal and was actually stolen by Ford for the 2005 mustang! This should happen...is it not working on yout car?

Well I have the funniest problems with my car. It reacts so strangley to the weather here in Albuquerque New Mexico due to our relatively harsh winters and summers, although I am a college kid who cant afford to be fixing every minor problem I see on it. As long as it doesnt affect the performance of the car I tend to wait until I get another student loan or some type of grant. But ironically enough this morning the windows are air locking and in turn the doors are able to lock properly. I was having this problem in the middle of the day yesterday in the hottest parts of it so I am thinking either they are working this morning because we havent reached the heat yet or because i opened the fuse box and jiggled the central locking fuses. In any event I will see what happens with them today as it gets hotter, hopefully that fixed it but who knows. Yeah go figure, but we all know mostly every car company is trying to copy something off the bmw but there is no subsitute.

I love it when problems fix themselves. In college I had a saturn SC1 and the clutch started slipping very badly. I parked it for a week and all was well when i drove it again! Drove it for another year (them bought the bimmer).
