I am wonderig if anyone has ever used the clearcoat stuff that sprays on rims. I just got my rims (used) and i noticed the original clearcloat is flaking around the outer edges. I have seen stuff at autozone that you can spray on. How well does it work? Is it hard to do? Any tips for me before I attempt this?

yes, have tried them, its stupid. if u spray too much it actaully looks white, especially if u dont take too much care in spraying evenly. It is a pain to get off if u want to, and if u spray it on the back of the rim it does protect from brake dust, yes

Thanx for the heads up, the rims are really in very good condition (no curb rash and very few minor scratches) and are good as is but i wanted to see if anyone had tried that stuff. I may end up having them professionally touched-up depending on how much that costs, thanx again..
