I could have sworn you already asked this... Are they both manual? Both automatic? One manual, one auto?

You will need the full transmission, clutch, flywheel assembly, and clutch slave cylinder, as well as pedal assembly. You will need an ECU reflash because the car will still think its an automatic and throw codes.

Is the ecu in my 1992 318i? (-if so can i take it out and use it-?) So all of the parts can be taken from the part car? And i heard about a manual and a automatic drive shaft are a little different would i need to buy or find a different one? Plus the transmission is coming out of a four door and going into a two door, both 318i.

The chassis lenth of the 4 door and the 2 door is identical. The coupe doors are longer in place of the rear doors, giving it the illusion it is shorter.

You can use the ECU from the donor car. The best way to do a tranny swap is with a donor car so you should be fine. Their are a few really good writeups on this site how to do it.
