Transmission Problem - BMW Forum

Well today while i was driving i pushed down the clutch and went to 3rd; before completely reaching third or releasing the clutch,it felt like shift knob went back to neutral and was really lose. This also felt like something caught on my tranny and grinded or something. Can anybody tell me whats going on?

was there a noise? or would it just not go into gear until you clutched again?

do you tihnk the problem is in the shifter? could be your shifter bushing is shot.

Yeah there was a noise, was from under the car, sounded like a cell phone vibrating. When it happened my shifter knob felt like it was vibrating and popping back to neutral.
