Transmission

A friend of mine has a 98' M3 5 speed transmission with around 50k on it he took it out to do a 6 speed conversion. Would his M3 transmission fit on my 94' 318?

It could potentially fit (may take a little fabrication), however, I do not think you would want it, I think the ratios would be all wrong for the 318, but after a quick search I am not able to find the ratios for comparison... any one know for sure?


edit: DAMN YOU Furious... you posted while I was searching for gear ratios!!!! Oh well...

he tore his current gearbox up, so apparently he figures, since he's gotta drop it out anyways, why not stick an M3 back in instead?
