I've had my 325i for 2 months now and it has been running ok for the most part. but ever since last week for some reason sometimes the car will rev all the way to six and not shift at all. It has an auto tranny, and i have it set to auto. I have 185k miles on car. some times a red check engine light comes on. between 1.5 - 2 rmp and between 35-40 mph. I ran the diags on the car and it said the battery was the problem. When i went to replace it i found out someone installed a deepcycle marine battery on it so i bought a new one and replace it with what ever came on the car. but it is still doing the same thing. Anyone have a clue what might be going on with it?
