Traction Under\wot

I have a 99 328is with the M-package, and continetal stock tires. When I floor it from about 1,500 rpms in first gear(manual tranny) and let the engine whine up the power cuts out two or three times before I hit redline because of the DSC. (The little yellow uh-oh traction light) When I turn that off and try it again, I don't hear any tire squeal and the back end doesn't drift. Any ideas why this is happening? Too much power? Tires breaking loose?

could possibly be the tires breaking loose , they dont have to nessecarily need to make noise, once the car senses any sort of loss in traction its compensates rightaway. my tires dont usually squeel unless im taking a corner hard, they rarely make noise on a small burnout. does it do it in second?

It did it to me this morning when I rolled on, in 2nd from about 3,000 rpm, when it hit 3,500 the back end came loose and drifted sideways but I didn't get a light this time. As tires wear don't you get better traction in dry weather, because they start to turn to slicks? I am due for new tires but I have never had this issue in dry weather.
