Traction Control won't turn off...

My traction control button doesn't appear to be working. It doesn't "light up" in any event, and doesn't appear to make a difference when pushed. I've looked for a fuse for it but there is nothing burned out. Anyone know how to check this? Also, the "cable" for the forward tilt lever on my passenger seat E36 has either broken or become unattached. Anyone every taken the seat apart to fix this?

hmm, could it be the bulb? have you tried doing a bit of a burnout to see if its engaged or not?

as for the cable, these are actually a pain in the ass to fix, i cant really give you any insite to it because i dont remember the one and only time i did it.
