Track Pipe

hey guys ive been crusing the AA site looking at some possible exhuast options i have found the gen 3 exhuast and the track pipe that aa offer? what are these two items? is the gen 3 w or without dtm tips the same as cat back exhuast or what? and what is the track pipe?

the track pipe is pretty much a cat system. and then the cat back gen 3 exhaust

so does the track pipe go from teh bottom of the header to the start of the cat?

yeah i think it does, and also the track pipe is really loud and not street legal, just to tell ya,

so if the track pipe isnt legal, what do you put there to make it a full exhuast system>?

Track pipe/ straight pipe means you remove the catalytic converter. AA might offer a trackpipe wtih catback, but it could also offer just a trackpipe that would end halfway down the car.

My friend has a '95 M3 with the track pipe and a remus catback and the track pipe it will eliminate the restrcition of the "Y" were the down pipe meets together and were the first o2 sensor is, it will go straigth down and then the 2 pipes will meet at the mid-pipe in a huge "H" resonator and there you'll have your first o2 sensor.

In other words it will be a real dual exhaust system but it may not pass emissions,

what you got now is
6cyl-flanges into 2downpipes into one singel pipe into 2mid-pipes into 2pipes on the catback

what yuo will get is
6cyl-flanges into 2downpipes into (H) resonator into 2mid-pipes into 2pipes on the catback
