first off, grind off the rust. sand it all smooth. then get bondo. bondo it up. then sand it and make it flush with the body, then paint. remember to keep the surface clean when painting.
I only buy BMW paint. Got a small bottle of touch up for like less than $10 form the dealer, they look it up by VIN number to get the exact match. YOu get a bottle of clear coat too.

Remember to primer first and then paint. Sand between each coat of paint you put down. Get the exact paint from BMW so it's the exact color. Good luck

what?? I got charged like $22 for dealer touch up paint, with the clear coat also.
