This guy wants 6k for a 1999 M3 with only 62k miles on it. It looks like it has a lot of aftermarket stuff done to it too. I want to take a small trip and go take a look at it, but I just can't understand how it could only be going for 6k. Any suggestions?
That's how far it is for me too. Plus my best friend's girlfriend lives near there, so we might visit her then go look at the car. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though...
I have seen them for as low as 6k, but not very often. if i were u, i would call him up and talk to the owner about the car. looks sweet. i would buy, but im broke =/

I was looking at a '98 318ti for $12,000 wow... (this was 2 years ago tho)
BE AWARE!!! I was in the market for my first BMW a month ago and looked at auto trader first. I found two M3's at a steal; $4500 for the first and $9000 for the second. Upon trying to contact the seller the phone number was bad. I finally got a email response from the seller requesting a deposit of 1/2 the balance and they would ship the car. It was being advertised 150 miles from my house, however the owner said he moved the car to the Czech Republic. Hmmm...wierd... I finally started getting suspicious about the deal and requested his overseas phone number. He replied with "a" phone number and a copy of a fake drivers license and a title from another state; the car had Texas plates in the photo with a Maryland title... even more fishy! So finally I told the guy, thru email, that I have a check in his name if he covered shipping to get the car to me, I would reward him with a little more money. He never replied back to once I busted him on his fake ID!!! Pass this along to anyone you know who trying to buy any car that sounds to good to be true. I finally bought a 318i from ebay for $8800--$2000 less than retail and I got to see the car before I bought. Ebay has buyer protection, so I would only reccomend them for a big online purchase. Also, get a finance company involved, they have better lawyers than you do in the event you do get scammed. Good luck and happy hunting.
