my b-day is coming up and my brother siad he was gonna get the chip for my car as a present, im thinking the TMS chip is the way to go...unless u guys think otherwise, im open for suggestions...i took my dme out today to get the number from it, and figured id open it to see where the chip would go, thing is, i cant get it open, theres 6 screws on there, 4 big ones and 2 small ones, i can get the big ones out, but the small ones just keep turning and turning...how the hell would i put the chip in if i get it????
EDIT: Furious this is what it said on my DME
DME
BOSCH
0 261 200 413
1 744 698
and some other stuff, but this is what i thought seemed important, would the chip u have work on my car, its a 1995 325i

On my '94 325is you don't remove any screws from the acutal DME to remove the cover. There are like 6 metal clips that you must pry to get the cover off. Be careful though! Get the TMS chip, I am very happy with it.
yea, i went back to look at the DME and it has those tabs that u pry open, im going for the TMS chip, i didnt have tim etoday, but tomorrow and gonna pry the dme open, and see if my chip isnt soldered in and can just be swapped out, i think ive asked this before, but...can you really feel the difference...i have a 95 32i, 5 speed

The number with the "413" is the part number. There were 2 chips for the 95' depending on the date of manufacture. The chip changed with the 1/95-on date. It was because of the change to EWS-II alarm.

yup 413 is the number your looking for, there are a few different types of dme's for the e36, but for a 1994 it should be a 413. again the only true discrepency was in 1995 when ews was introduced. in 1996 they went to obd2 and chips were replaced with sharking.
TMS/Conforti chips are the best chips for the 325 IMO , reason being is they give a better range of power in comparison to say Dinan who really gives a good mid range but the upper range is not near as good as conforti's chip.
i also have a 95 325i and absolutely love the TMS chip....i also have an intake and the AA exhaust on so with those three performance upgrades my car runs really well....good luck and enjoy the chip
