jiffy lube usually can't do our cars. They rarely have the right filter in stock. I highly reccomend you DIY, otherwise take it to a BMW shop so they can reset the service lights.

Yep def not jiffy fuck-me-in-the-ass-without-lube-or-a-reacharound. I know 3 people that have taken their cars to them. And every one has some how messed up. One got the wrong oil filter on his car, sparyed oil every where and blew the engine. Another got an extra quart of tranny fluid, tranny wouldn't shift outta 1st after 4 days, and then for the last they put a filter (like a mesh kinda filter used for water pumps for ponds) in his car and screwed the orig oil filter on over it.... Have no idea how they did that... or why....
Def take it some where that specializes in European cars at least. You don't have to take it to the stealership, but def not to jiffy we-have-no-idea-what-the-fuck-we-are-doing.
and sorry for the incrediable corny long name for jiffy... kinda bored....
its never too late to start learning to change oils yourself for as long as you're physically equipped to do so. try to check on this site's FAQ and figure it out if you can DIY.
I take mine to a family friend who has been working on my parents cars forever now. He does buicks and fords and all other stuff but hasnt seemed to have trouble with my e36... Just find a reasonable guy who knows wtf he is doing.
