Nah. Unless he (or she? I don't remember, 'thepie ) is planning on some serious track time, the best thing is to go with solid rotors. They will last longer and do a good job stopping the car.

Hey, if he's looking for a change and an upgrade, Brembo's are great choice, plus the slotted ones will last a longer time than the cross-drilled ones and will offer increased performance over not only the outgoing OEM ones, but also over solid rotors. Hey, for about $100 each, how wrong can you go?
