so a few months ago.. i ran over a brick which fell outta a truck.. and cracked my rim... ends up being i messed up a lot of stuff along with it..

about 2 weeks ago, i started feeling hard vibrations( sorrta like the front right wheel was going to fall off... at speeds of 60+)...

so i brought it to the mechanic and he said i needed a new front suspension( 2 struts.. and lower right side control arm)

ok.. so i paid 800 bucks (including install)... anyways.. i ws driving the other day on the parkway.. and i took a curve at about 65.. and my tires felt like they were gunna fall off again.. so i brought it back.. and asked what the problem was.. and now he said that the tie rods are messed up.. and i need to get new 1's

he quoted me 300 bucks installed( not sure if re-alignment was included...) anyways.. i could really use some help on this problem...

thanks

I would look at the control arm bushings. Look at them and make sure you dont see any cracks. If you do those would be a good thing to replace. Those little guys have a lot of affect on the performance of your suspention.

Hold on a minute. If your rims are still cracked. That means your wheels are unbalanced and your tired wont keep inflation so that could explain you high speed wobble. I'm suggesting this only because you never said you took care of the rim.

So you fixed your rim then?
you never said that!

Also I know people that roll around with cracked alloys as long as they could cause they are too cheapo to replace them.

Hopefully they balanced your wheels.
What it sound like is the problem is in the wheels and not all that fancy stuff your BMW mechanic is telling you...

your car is newer than mine and should'nt have these issues. I go into potholes and rough shit all the time...unless you drive your 323is really hard!
