ticking noise from 328 - 1996? from injector area

hi im new... my names alex and stuck with a problem with my car and wondering if some of you kind chaps (and ladies) could help point me in the right direction?


just before i start my car it makes a loud werring noise from near the injector area and then it ticks loudly when running from just right of the middle fuel injector (towards the intake manifold). Ticking gets quicker as you rev the car.


any ideas?

Yup... its one of two things.... its either your injectors are pretty dirty.. and need to be cleaned... or after a while on these cars... the VANOS system will begin to wear.. and then start to tick...

Sounds like an injector.. because your fuel pump sending unit.. is turned on before the car turns over... so it would makes sence that the injector would make noise..

BTW... I have the same problem.. and havnt been able to fix...
