In looking for the e36 answer, I stumbled across this webpage E36 specs

It was interesting to read through them, but one set of numbers threw me off: it says that the ti sport is a second faster 0-60?? "Stock" is 9.3 (ouch, that hurts) and ti sport is listed as 8.3 (both for manuals - autos are off a little less). Is there a significant weight difference or something?

Makes sense. Do you have any idea how much it would take to upgrade this then. Shaving a second off would be quite an upgrade...Would it mean a new rear end?
