Throttle Response

Has anyone noticed that when they rev their engine, even just blip the throttle, the RPMs take forever to come back down?

I test drove a m3 with all Dinan, CAI, chip, exhaust and big bore throttle body, and the throttle response was AMAZINGLY crisp. But it almost seems like it could be a spring or something else trivial.

I have noticed in the past that the revs seem to "hang." Hm.

It’s because of all the inertia built up by the rotation of the 26lbs dual mass flywheel. After I installed an AA Lightweight Flywheel in my M3, it revs like a Ferrari. The needle jumps up and down almost instantly.
