Throttle Cable Replacement - BMW Forum

Before going to the stealership, I wanted to see if anyone knows were I can buy the throttle cable. The stupid plastic peice that holds it in place broke, and now my throttle jerks. Need to replace this part asap, any help any advice would be great, thanks.

some salvage yard must have e36's and most will prob still have the part on them!

Thanks, but can you believe it only cost 17 bucks from the dealership. WOW I was amazed I also bought a new Intake boot that only cost 35 bucks from the dealership. Turned out the jerk in throttle is from a mixture of that piece and the intake boot was cut in half. (Dont know how that happened)

The intake boot, as it gets older, develops cracks over time.

How hard is it to replace this cable, any DIY for this?

Well, I found out they gave me the wrong cable. They gave me the cruise control cable, just ordered the rite part and for the most part looks simple. Thanks to this website http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ I can now question BMW Parts Departmen. LOL

No it was about 40 Bucks. Sucks though I had to wait to put it on. Went to a car show this weekend in her as is she drove so smooth.
