Throtle response

This is driving me nuts I went today and got a new fuel filter, some intake cleaner, a bottle of chevron fuel system cleaner. replaced the fuel filter cleaned out the throtle body and still when I put that pedel to the floor it like a couple sec delay and then the dam thing revs up.
Could the fuel pump have alot to do with it the car has 197,000 miles on it and I can guarantee that it is the origanal one in the car.

My room mate has 95 grand prix and the response on that thing is way better than my bimmer so I wondering should I invest in a new fuel pump or is that the way these cars are let me know some idea's here guys

How is your air filter looking?

You may want to look into the fuel pump situation also.
