Another question I have is why does my 318iS 91 or 92 beep three times at random times? Since the car didn't come with a book I bought a manual, but I can't find anything about beeps. I asked a mechanic and he looked blank...
Some OBC's have a memo minder that beeps at the top of the hour in case you wanna catch the news or something. Does the clock or OBC have a display of "M" or "ME"?
My goodness, do I feel silly. I have no idea if my clock has an M showing. I'll have to check. It's hard to see because it's half dead. I know the clock works, but the temperature doesn't. Is it hard to find and replace the little square? It used to have a brighter light, but when the temp stopped working, the light got dim. Thank you!
If the temp displays -40 it may mean the sensor is not connected or missing. It's usually located in one of the brake cooling ducts if you car has them.

No, I think it displays 28. Whether there's minus on it, I don't remember...but thank you! Does 28 mean anything?
28 probably means its 28 degrees outside. Instead of an M, you may notice a symbol resembling a sound wave or a wifi symbol to indicate the top-of-the-hour chime is on. Your OBC may have a 'MEMO' button that toggles this functionality on/off.
