Sounds like what happened to my baby girl. Are you noticing any puddles under the car? I have a tiny crack in the flange of one of my radiator tanks. The hot water sort of mists out of it and dries immediately so that when I open my hood, I can't trace the leak.

Get your cooling system pressure tested. That'll tell you what's wrong - or where the water is going....

This could be something as simple as a broken pipe. If after the car has been left stationary for a while you find water underneath its likely to be a pipe or at worst a cracked radiator....

The most serious cause of this is probably a cracked/knackered head gasket. If you are getting blue smoke when driving this is the most likely cause and you should get it looked at ASAP. Not a mechanic myself but have had this on one of my cars.

Hope this helps

i checked for leaks and nothing, it must be going somewhere ???

I am unsure the mechanics of where the water goes to, can anyone tell me and i can see what parts might be at fault.

the plastic on the radiators is known to crack and leak. mine was leaking where it met the metal but it was not leaking a stream just a slow leak. The harder i drove it the more it leaked.

I eventauly replaced the radiator, waterpump, thermostat, thermosta housing, hoses, and the belt. (got it all in a kit from bimmerworld)

if you live somehwere where it gets really hot hten cols down at night it can cause stuff to crack so i would take it somwhere if you cant trace the leak!
