Temperature Display Not Working

[FONT=Arial][FONT=Arial][SIZE=7] The temperature display on my E36 318ic is not working, does anyone know where i can find a new one or is willing to sell me one?

first off, are you talkign about the engine temperature or external temperature..

if its the engine temperature that stop working, much likely is the temperature sender that is allocated on the engines head block. there are 2 of them, one for the dashboard and one for the computer, you will just have to look on elecrical diagram wich one is waht..

but if its the extrnal temperature, then the sensor is located on the drivers side front brake duck. for some misterious reaosn the duck can fall and takes with it the sensor, so it is a matter of getting new sensor and wire tips, in case it rip of the wires connector too, all can be bought at dealer. then is the on board computer displays shows nothing for any of the functions, then try replacing the rear display lights, if this lights dont work yo uwont see a thing..

thanks alot dude i just fixed it, its my sisters BMW convertable and it was the outside and the sensor was gone i compared it to my coupe.
