OK, so i did a search and came up with very little.. and wasn't really what i was looking for, so anyways, here goes nothing
my OBC says -35º , -37ºc... soo here is the question?? whats the deal! is it the temp sensor or is it somthing else??
went to my specialized mechanic today, and he priced me out for a $235.50 JUST FOR THE SENSOR?? does that sound right?? AND THEN he wants to charge me another 200 ontop of the charge for labor???
1- is the temp sensor what i need?
2- is there a DIY for this??
oh, and i have a 98 323is?? if that helps anything?? i want to get this done asap!!!
That price is about right for the sensor. For some reason, it's very expensive. I'm sure that you could find a DIY for it on the net, or maybe the Bentley has instructions for it in there. I'm just hoping that mine doesn't go out....
that is a hella expensive sensor.. have you searched around the net yet for prices? i think you might be able to get it for atleast a little cheaper!! as for the install me and my friend were going to do his on his e30... but never got around to finding the damn sensor.... his has been out for years
it wasn't just the sensor.. it was also the wire that goes all the way to the back bumper and up to the obc.. but forget it.. its not worth it.. i found out that the reason for this was because the wire was cut.. and some 1 stole it before i got my car.... whatever
my car is missing the brake ducts, which is were the sensor is supposed to be sitting. I have it wire tied to keep it from dragging. Has anyone seen the brake ducts for sale? I haven't been able to, and haven't bothered to ask the dealer.
