how do you remove the black trim around the car, does it just pull off, i want to get it painted to match my car.. i saw this pic and it looks good..


anyone know how before i go breaking things?

Slvr e39 school is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm not sure about 3 series, but on 5er's you open the door, grab the lip of the trim and pull....hard

Be careful not to crease it but it will bend very easy

if u notice on that car in the pick, the trim on the front bumper isn't painted.. its the back and the side!

yeah, i got the idea from this dude on car domain,, he must be loaded, i dont even know how much it was to do all this to his car.. gave me some ideas though

I'd like to do this too, but I don't no how it will look with a black convertible top...somewhat asymmetrical I think...I'm back and forth on it....

You can give it a good pull, or get a screw driver and get a piece of cloth around it so you can wedge it in there. They pop out just give it a good yank
