tail light problems

my drivers side tail light simply doesnt work, i have replaced the bulbs and still they dont work, i swapped sides with the bulbs and they still dont work, i replaced the brake switch and it still doesnt work, i think im not getting power to the tail light or something this is weird i have tried everything people say to do and i cant find the problem and i still have no left tail light

The BMW tail light assembly is notorious for burning out the contacts where the bulb holders screw into it. Remove the tail light assembly and check the state of the contacts for the brake light globe. If this is the problem then the contact can be built up with some solder and foil, though it is tricky to do. Failing that you will need to purchase a new tail light assembly.

Check the bundle of wires going to the trunk to make sure they're not freying. You have to open up the plastic and look if the wires have rubbed through their plastic insulation.
