TAIL LIGHT FALIURE

I recently installed a new (to me ) OBC recently installed...

It now tells me "TAIL LIGHT FAILURE"
my Tail lights are stock. They are all one, brakes light up, reverse lights light up, the far outside part of the light doesn't but I am told that is a optional light

Connections look good, lights light up and I replaced nearly all of them today just to see. Other ideas?

that happened to me one day i just turned the car off and undid all the bulbs and put em back in. that solved it.

I agree. Sometimes you have a very light loose connection. The connection is strong enough to light up the bulb but too weak to send a feedback signal to the electronics-check circuit. Taking out the bulbs and puttin them back in properly might solve the problem.

I have taken them all out and put them back in a couple of times.

is it a brake light circuit failure? or just a brake light failure

Nope fixed the brake light failure. I didn't get that until i started looking for the tail light failure. While looking for the tail light failure i pulled all the bulbs and found the bulb to the brake light wasn't secure in the metal piece of the bulb. It got replaced today along with most of the other tail light bulbs....
