I know one of them is the rattling sound from the lower plate hitting agaist the shock mounting plate...but can it also cause the car to feel as if its "floating" at high speeds. I'm asking this because the mechanic at first indicated my rear shock mounts were loose, now they're saying the floating is due to worn out shocks and that i need to replace my rear shocks... sounds like they're trying to weed some money outta me. I dont want to end up spending an extra 300 bucks or so for nothing. Anyone have experience with this problem?
Thanks

He may not be lying actually. Now rear shocks only run about 25-50 a piece compared to 100+ for the front. Believe it or not it is an easy fix that you could DIY if you wanted to. If you'd like I could post a faq for you.
