i hgihly DOUBT IT WILL FIT INTO THE E36 without MAJOR MAAJOR MAJOR $$$ engine bay mods. anythign is possible with the right amount of money, but it will probably be cheaper to mod ur stock engine up to that kinda cash to get more horsies.

but wouldn't it be more fun to mod the v12 for way more horsies? like quad turbo (if there is such a thing) and god knows what else. a e36 with that engine would be unstopable with that kinda power.

It's only 5.4 Liter. I beleive a 350 is about 5.7 Liter, isn't it? I think 388 bhp is pretty good for a stock 5.4. [/b][/quote]
A 350 would have a 5.0L engine. (didn't know there was one out there ) All BMW type models have the following naming scheme: first number is the series, the second two numbers is the engine displacement in Litersx10, the letters after that are the injection type/body/package ( I for Injection, S for sport (coupe) and so on)
that is almost completely true. but some BMW's were a little off like the 8 series engine was actually 4.4 liters, but they called it 840. also the same with the e38 7, it had a 4.4 liter engine, but a 740 designation. The e65 7er has a 4.4 liter but the name is 745. and the 850 actually had a 5.4 liter engine, which is what this thread is based upon
this pic is badass. i cant rember where i got it but its an e34 with the v12 engine u have there. labeled as a 550i haha

That's what I get for playing the smarta**
Well another fact about bimmers learned... thanks!
Btw, I had one of these flying by me on the Autobahn with about 160mph... of course I didn't see the badge when he overtook me, but he slowed down later and I could catch up, and sure enough it was a V12 B)
lol i wasn't saying anythign about what u said in any demeanign manner if you took it that way. i too believd all the numbers but then one day while searchign bmwusa.com noticed 4.4 liter adn this just sent me into utter confusion lol. just one of those quirks that makes you sound really smart when you are nerdy enough to go and research it lol (guilty )
