My car's already pretty low. I scrape on speed bumps, and while it looks nice, clearance is a problem sometimes.
My question is if I install an xbrace, and maybe sway bars, will I lose any more clearance? I don't know enough about the underside of the car and their positioning.
I want to do some suspension work, but I'm not going to if I lose any more clearance. Anyone have experience with this?
if you install the x brace yes it will lower the middle of the car , id say only an inch and half at most. when i look under the car my x brace is lower than anything else.
New springs would cost me like $600 minimum though, for cheap ones. Install and alignment is like $275. I don't really wanna pay that much to redo a mod, ya know?

It sounds nice, a bit raspy, but you can tell with a catback exhaust, it'll sound farrr better. I love it though, people know it's not stock when you accelerate by them.
<!--QuoteBegin-theruss1an1@Jan 20 2005, 10:37 PM Yeah.. $600 is a lil too much for springs. $600 installed maybe? Even so thats still a lot of money.
You can add "spring pads" which is basically anything that can hold 1/4 or the sprung weight of your car put underneath the spring and the spring perch to raise the car a bit. I have been thinking about doing this to raise my car about 1/4-1/2 an inch to stop scraping on bumps ect.

hmmmm...sorry for the bad info...i'll have to take a look at mine again...
