Suspension Install

Hey guys, I just got my Koni adjustables in the mail a week ago, and went to check on installing them on my car, but the old shocks look to be crimped into the strut. Does anyone know how to replace these? Or should I just buy some front struts already assembled and just eat the cost of the shock inserts? Thanks,

You mean you bought cartridges? E36's don't use them. The strut needs to be replaced as a whole unit.

I have a pseudo M3, and Tirerack.com says "cartridge insert" for housing type. Anybody know?

What is a 'pseudo M3'? The only Bimmers that I can think of that fall into that category would be an M Technik.

I have transferred the entire suspension from an M3 to my 95 318i. That's what I mean by Pseudo-M3. Basically, everything below the unibody is getting transferred to the 318i. I think I have to buy Koni front struts and save these as inserts for replacements. Damn... what a waste of money. I hate shady sellers on Ebay.

He he! Maybe not shady, just not too bright. When I buy on eBay, I never count on the seller to know what he's talking about.

M3 suspension on a 318 should be interesting . . let us know how it rides
