Does anyone know if a stock M3 suspension for a 96-99 E36 M3 will work on a 97 328i? I have the sport pkg now, but the shocks are done anyway. If anyone does.. hows the drive?

yes you can put m3 suspension on non m e36's. the ride will be a little harsher.

I believe you will have to change the whole strut assembly out (you were probably intending on doing that) and the sway bar because the mounting points are different. But yes, if you do the whole suspension it should work. It will ride like an M3, which IMO ride sweet. Firm but sporty

Do they really have different strut diameter?

If he changes the struts, he'll get the bigger brakes as well.

I heard that everything will fit but you'll need M3 spring perches.
