Is this supposed to stay on?

I just bought a 95 325is yesterday and I found that this orange display stays on even with the key out of the ignition. I left it over night and it still stayed on. If it's not supposed to stay on how do I go about turning it off?

I haven't seen that before but if the key is off, ecm powered down etc, then it shouldnt be on. Possible replacement is necessary.

I would remove the unit and open it up and see if their is something that is causing the light to have power. If your not good with electronics replacement may be your best bet.
