sunroof problem

hey guys the sunroof on my 325i will slide open but eventually get caught when i try to close it and when i try to tilt it the interior will slide open but when you look at it from the outside it is not open at all. can somebody please help me with this problem?? is this a common problem? and the srs light keeps blinking are these two problems a cause of a recall? should i go to the dealer?

Both my friends 93 325 and my 94 325 have the same problem with the tilting. I hope this is an easy fix. Info anyone?

i got it! all i know is when i go to tilt the interior pieice slides back, and then i can slide it all the way back, (because ive tooken mine off) so that the bare red metal is showing, and then push up the sunroof and it vents! haha pretty damn ghetto i wished mine actaully worked!

I had the same problem on my passaat. I finally figured out that the piece that slides in the track was cracked in half and was causing the problem. Once it got real bad i just left it closed and eventually sold the damn thing. I am not sure if the BMW roof is made the same way (because i haven't had a prob. with mine YET) but it probably is. Look in the track for cracked parts or just try lubing it with lithium or spray silicone.
