Such thing as a BMW Battery Replacement?

I can not find a replacement BMW battery anywhere on the net. Anyone have any suggestions or should I just pick up one from a local store?

By a gel cell. I'm droppin in an Optima Yellow top some time in the next week. Had one in my Porsche and it was great. I could run my stereo (multiple amps, subs, components, etc.) for couple of hours and it still started fine. With 850 CCA and an alternator with 140amps rechraging it, it was a great system.

If I may hijack the thread for a minute, anyone know where to get a good alternator upgrade? Maybe 120-140amp?

I found a replacement battery at INTERSTATE for $60.95 plus tax. I picked it up locally.

It had the drain/overflow tube just like the factory battery and fit like a glove.

Auto Zone (Johnson controls supplies them) or Advance auto parts (Interste supplies them). I use an Advance in my 1988 750 and it works great, no need to spend mega bucks for a BMW signature battery.

Batteries are not just batteries. When mine dies (currently a Diehard) A yellow top Optima is going in.

don't buy a normal battery. the factory won weighs 50 pounds and its on the rear
right side wheel for a reason.
