Subframe Fine, FRAME CRACKED!!!!!!!!

well, the worst case scenerio, i heard some noises from my rear subframe, thought it cracked or was the diff bolt, either way i was like watever no biggie, worse come worse, subframe will be cracked...but not broken because the sysmptoms( swerving while cornering, loss in handling) were not there....well i find out from my good old mechanic today, that my subframe is in perfect condition....BUT MY FRAME IS CRACKED!!!! this happened because the car was in Arkansas for 13 years and all the dam snow + salt......i am so upset right now but i guess i have to fix it...hip hip hooray for me, ill post pics if i can head over to the shop tomorow and take some....btw the damage at minimum is gona be $1500

Same happend me mate but i cant find a mechanic to fix it il post pictures soon but id say you should have the reinforcement kit turnner motosport does installed cause it will happen the other side .

yea, im suppose to find out the damage today, ill just get everything thats down there changed since the whole subframe needs to be dropped

Ya order every single kind of turner motorsport reinforcemnt kit they make and have it installed, that sucks though, that is why I dont drive in the winter

Its just the 92's.

They are weak subframes overall anyway though.. and it can happen to any of the e36's, including the M3, which has reinforced subframes stock.

so the welding + labor to drop the subframe and re-enforce all totals out to $1600...yay...there is no way im gona get outa debt by december...

dude this car was from the stupid east coast...stupid arkansas....watever....my car isnt faling apart...it was all the snow + salt...no snow in LA so no salt so no rust...emir dont make me hurt u, i will, btw eid mubarak..
