Stupid Question

I need to buy a new moulding for my car and I'm not sure if it is the left or right side... It's the drivers side moulding but all of the parts sites and realoem only refer to them as left/right side. So my question is... is it left/right if you are in the car or left/right if you are looking at the car head on. I know its a dumb question but I dont want to buy a 45$ part and it ends up being the wrong side.

No such thing as a stupid question.Left or right is referenced to you as you sit in the driver's seat. Left side =drivers side. Right side = passengers side.
