Is there way to change the display on the a/c display from "c" to "f".

You could try disconnecting the battery to see if the unit defaults back to Farenheit, but make sure you aren't going to lock up your stereo in the process. Leave the battery disconnected for 20 - 30 minutes.

Tried the battery disconnect , about one year. Car has been parked for lack of parts. The a/c display in my 1996 328is has read in "C" since I bought it used. Just tired of looking at cccc all the time, would like to see it in ffff.

Got to go to the stealership, they supposedly can do it, sounds like your car might have been from Canada like mine. Probably has daytime running lights too.
