Stoopide Trunk Lid Won't Close On Me

what is wrong?

when i bring the trunk lid down, it doesn't sound like if the "clasp" like-thing is latching on to the piece of metal as it is suppose too. since the car isn't properly "close" i can't even close the doors. :

is this a repair BMW does or can I do it myself?

I have not heard of this happening, but if I understand it right it sounds like the trunk latch is just stuck open and not connecting when you try to close the trunk. I would try to lubricate it and jiggle it as much as possible to see if that did anything. I would also call a couple of local places that work on BMWs and see what they say.

Too many dead hookers in your trunk. Remove one and try again.

not sure if it's a lubrication problem since it moves just fine when i use a screw driver to lock it from the outside.

one funny thing i noticed, i'm not able to put my key into the trunk lid button.... ?
