stock or aftermarket

well i recently changed my front and rear shocks and mounts, (i had stocks before and replaced them with stock again) but i made little improvement.
So my question is, will aftermarket shocks make my ride somewhat smoother or is that just the way Beemers ride, kinda stiff?

i have ground control RSM;s and there are only two settings, street and race.. im currently on race, and i notice that the rear end is much tighter and less noise comes from the rear.. .personally i think its a must for anyone who lowers their cars.. only because rear shock mounts seem to blow a lot more frequently than stock

smoother and better are very different....

Better could mean "perform better" as smoother would mean "perform worse"

the stock shocks are "smoother" than most aftermarket ones....
but I personally like the handling of my aftermarket shocks...
