Sticking/creaky Accel Pedal - Lub??

Hi, Does anyone know if the accel pedal linkage pivot at the top of the pedal is all plastic? And if so, what lubricant have you used on it with success?
Mine creaks with every movement, I dont want to put mineral based oil on it if its all plastice for obvious reasons, is there a recommended lubricant?

u used WD40 in the hinge, and it was fine

Yes, I was about to use WD40 when I thought it might be better to use a thicker lubricant, I have a tube of silicone grease and I might try that first tonight.
Its the same stuff, just thicker.....

i actually used something else that was like WD40, but it doesnt squeek anymore, and i did it about 3 weeks ago. Just make sure you dont get any in the carpet
