I am having a problem in starting the car in the morning... it takes few tries and long cranking until it does...

after in operational temp. it just takes long to start, but not many tries

Check:
-Compression
-Fuel pump
-Spark plugs

Just a start, good luck!

Fuel pump is a new one (just installed)
Spark Plugs (same thing).

What compression should I check? fuel?

is there an easy way to do that (other than the need for a pressure guage?)

How many km/miles are on it? I've meant the cylinder compression. Almost every car workshop can test it.

Have your local autoparts check your battery. It could be the culprit.

I have 130k on it.... It does not seem to have a problem with momentum?! I don't know if it needs compression check in this case,, but I will try it as a last resort..

It actually could be!!! I took the battery out, cleaned the connectors and returned it.. and it did improve (a bit)... I will investigate it more...

I have a 93 325i, i just go it... is it normal for the car to rev at a high rpm wen started??

I'm not sure, but if you mean erratic rpm, then at idle speed, it could be Idle control valve (ICV). Although I have this problem in my car, and no one is able to identify the actual culprit! it only happens on cold starts :-(

oh ok thanks a lot..does yours really do it?.... im thinking its this hose look a like thing that goes frmo the back of the alternator to the some area near the top of the radiator...wen i got it .. it had a big ass hole on the side... haha so thanks anyway
