Starting Car When Cold

I recently went on vacation for a week and came back to my 325i and it won't start. I'm thinking its just really cold since I live in the UK and its been rather cold recently; however, I'm not totally certain. It sounds like its trying to turn over, but just can't catch. How can I get the car to turn over if its just cold? The weather doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon, so I'm looking for a method other than "do it during the day when its warm".

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your battery is bad. Get it tested to see what the CCA is on it. When was the battery last replaced?
