| If you are hearing something turning then normally that means that the starter is working but it's not engaging with the flywheel, the starting motor cog isn't being pushed out. It's the solenoid, if that is the case, because it's the solenoid's job to push the cog in the starter motor onto the flywheel, thus turning the whole engine over instead of just the starer motor free spinning.
