My girlfriends' 95 325iC makes a grinding noise right after it starts. Sounds to me like the starter cog is staying engaged in the flywheel. I was wondering if anyone else also had this problem before I replace the starter. She has an automatic trans and the Bentley says to remove the intake manifold to access the starter. I wanted to get some feed back before I committed to the starter replacement.
