not a problem with the rotors or pads, i was told theyre just aftermarket pads and they squeal sometimes. i was also told there is something i could buy to spray on them to get them to stop squealing. does anyone know anything about this?
it is common for aftermarket pads to squeel due to the metalic content being higher in aftermarket pads than in factory pads, the spray you are thinking of is sold at Napa (disc brake quite I believe it's called) it comes in a red can and you spray it on the non-braking side of the padbut BMW does not recomend the use of this spray, BMW suggests the use of Bostic on the back surface of the pad (the non-braking side) for squeels (I've done this many times at the dealership for squeels and it works)
