Well, it was raining like hell here yesterday.. I drove my bimmer through all that water (it wasn't that deep, maybe 5 inches or so) and everything was fine.. my engine light was not on (like this other post recently), but now I have this squeaky sound coming out of the engine..
It's coming from some item on the belt.. squeaks more while idling and not as much at higher rpms.. but it's very annoying and it sounds like something just needs some oil or grease... like sometimes a water pump sounds when it's about to fall off....
Does anyone know what this could be - it must be the water - maybe it washed some grease of the belt or the water pump or alternator or AC....?
Any ideas?
