Squeaking Breaks

Hi all,
I have a 1995 3.18 ti,
the breaks are squeaking a lot and I was wondering if I should go in for new break pads or just get the mechanic to use anti-sqeaking fluid.
What are your experiences with sqeaking breaks?

how old are the brakes (all parts, meaning when was the last brake change?)

i;m not sure as I just acquired the car as of 2 weeks ago (used)
i'm assuming the break pads have never been changed

i have a POS kia sportage and the brakes squek , rotors and pads have been changed recently. are there like any sprays or liquids that like temporary fix the squek ?

get a brake job done. its not uncommon to get pads that squeal straight from the factory. it has to do with the chemicals that are embedded and mixed with the pad itself. they actually rise to the surface and cause the pads to squeel , ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (now that i re-read that its very very vauge and almost doesnt make sense, :lol: , i could explain it but takes time) either way get a brake job, nothing worse than not knowing when the last time you had such and such done on your baby.

yes there is anti-squeak spray that is avalible, but let it be known that this stuff dosent always work (big surprise)
