Springs!!!

When i get out or into my car i notice that the rear springs have started to creak - is there anything which i can do to stop this - or do i have to replace the springs at the rear?

u sure its the springs???

well i think its the springs mate, can't really think what else it could be - it happens when i get out of the car - when the weight is coming out of the car.

i notice mine does that too sometimes, either i'm a fat ass or something needs to be greased up.

yes mine also does this, i'm thinking about getting some lowering springs and new shocks and i'm also wondering if this will fix this creak or if i need to fix something else. Mine only makes a small noise so far but i definitly don't want it to grow. hope someone comes up with an answer for this, i hate little annoying noises, like these (and the one that the heater makes when you change the vents knob, lol).

If the sound comes from the rear, rear shockmount failure is my guess. Common failure for E36 and when they go out, they start creaking and making all sorts of racket. Easy fix, and you don't need a re-alignment when you are done.
